{"id":41,"date":"2017-08-02T12:33:53","date_gmt":"2017-08-02T10:33:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/emicca\/dental\/?p=41"},"modified":"2023-05-13T15:46:57","modified_gmt":"2023-05-13T13:46:57","slug":"endodoncija","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dental-friscic-kastel.hr\/en\/endodoncija\/","title":{"rendered":"Endodontic treatment of teeth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"en-US\">When the bacteria penetrate the inside of the tooth, inflammation of the dental pulp is <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">caused, which often results in severe pain.<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">Sometimes nerve atrophy can be slow and painless, due to slow progression of the infection.<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">Bacteria pass through the root canals towards the bone and cause inflammation there (abscess or granuloma).<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">Inflammation of the dental pulp requires endodontic treatment.<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">Subsequent treatment of tooth with fillings or crowns is impossible if root canal treatment was not performed properly, i.e. if the cause of infection was not removed and the root canals are not cleared and filled.<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">Mild pain and dental sensitivity is a normal reaction after the endodontic procedure and is due to the reaction of the immune system to the residual microorganisms.<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">Sometimes endodontic treatment cannot be successfully performed due to thin, unpassable root canals, previous poor endodontic interventions, and the like.<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">Some of these cases are successfully resolved with apicoectomy (surgical removal of the root tip).<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"When the bacteria penetrate the inside of the tooth, inflammation of the dental pulp is caused, which often results in severe pain.
